Rose Bay Secondary College院校介绍

Rose Bay Secondary College was established in 2003 and was founded on the rich educational traditions that existed for more than 50 years at Vaucluse and Dover Heights high schools.

We are a partially selective co-educational college blending a comprehensive local enrolment with two selective classes in each scholastic year.

Students enter the selective classes on their results in the statewide selective school entrance test. This ensures that these classes contain the most academically able learners with the curriculum differentiated to cater for their special learning needs.

Students at Rose Bay Secondary College achieve academic excellence. All are encouraged to reach their full potential by a uniquely broad, flexible curriculum that challenges and inspires them. All have opportunities to succeed.

All students' learning is enriched by an exceptionally active creative and performing arts program. Curriculum options include music, dance, drama, film and TV video production, broadcasting and visual arts. The thriving co-curricular program offers many more opportunities for extension in this area.

Our students learn in an outstanding environment. Our exciting new facilities include science laboratories, theatre and gymnasium and film, music and broadcasting studios. The expansive campus grounds are back dropped by ocean and harbour views, providing excellent opportunities for recreation and outside learning.

The college is equipped with state of the art computer technology that supports our ICT learning programs, among them software development, robotics, film animation and special effects editing, and music composition and editing.

The experienced, dedicated staff members provide traditional and innovative teaching in well managed classrooms. Personal and social responsibility is nurtured, respected and rewarded

Our college has vibrant, strong links with its community, parents, local primary schools and other community organisations and figures, and these are continually developing.

Our college also has a support class for students with learning disabilities. These students have individual education plans and learn in modern facilities with experienced special education teachers and support staff.

Rose Bay students are representative of the cultural diversity of Australian society and the full range of learning interests and abilities. Our college, its students, staff and parents have a strong sense of community and cooperative enterprise.

  Anti-bullying

RBSC is committed to providing a safe and caring environment which fosters respect for others and does not tolerate bullying. An individual does not have to accept, tolerate or suffer any form of bullying. It is an individual's right to report bullying and to expect a supportive and caring response from the authority of the school.

  Uniform

The present policy was developed in consultation with parents. The school asks parents to ensure that the school uniform is worn by all students.
